BioOkay, I'm on here because of two things mainly; I miss keeping a journal and I actually want to find people who like the same interests as me and don't stare at me blankly or think I'm weird.
I learned to accept my geekdom along time ago, and I feel proud to be one of the select few! My main fandoms would be Xena and Doctor Who (Adric lives on in my heart!). I've started getting into Manga and Anime after having been lent the first 8 Hellsing Books and finding that Alucard rox.
My main passion is to write. I've had a hand at some fanfic. My Who attempts can be found atTeaspoon and an Open Mind (under the author name Blue_Star). http://www.whofic.com/viewuser.php?uid=716 should take you there if you fancy a nose at my early efforts. I hope one day I will be able to produce my own, but, if you see some of the activities I do you'll see that time is a real problem with me.
Other stuff... Well, I'm a gay young(ish) woman, but I have a sort of complicated life in that I actively work in Christian Youth Work. I celebrate all facets of my life. I'm proud to be gay. It's who I am. But I'm proud to believe in God too. The problem is that society doesn't let them sit too nicely together. I don't believe for one moment that a loving God would condemn people for being in love, but I think the church has a long way to go on things like this. I almost see LJ as being the place where my inner-most thoughts can be released on stuff that affects me.
I like to chat generally or about specific interests. I wouldn't mind being friended because friends are good!
